Brass Shim Sheet

$2.50

This fine brass sheet only 50mc thick is ideal for flossing between the tines on your fountain pen. Use every now and then to clean out any built up ink or paper fibres. The brass is soft enough to not damage your nib with careful use. To use — insert a corner of the brass gently into the hole at the end of the groove between the tines and drag toward the tip. The corners can easily be renewed by using a pair of scissors to cut a sliver of the edge of the brass shim. Although the brass is soft, take care when using on coated nibs as there is a potential for scratching the coating.

“We're pen enthusiasts first. The shop just made sense.”
